Biggest dream
to establish a bilingual theatre company that would produce great plays by Canadian artists and tour the world!

Favourite French expression

C’est super-extra-vachement marrant!

How I practice French in everyday life
I set my Facebook page in French.

Why I think bilingualism is so important

You get to communicate with exponentially more people, appreciate Francophone films, books, plays, and people in their original language.

Favourite francophone artists
Jean Anouilh, Les Cowboys Fringants, Jean-Emile Borduas, Jean-Marc Vallée.

How Élise arrived at French for the Future
Born and raised in Toronto, Elise attended three of Montreal’s universities (in French and English!), picking up degrees in Cultural Studies and Creative Writing.  She took a brief detour in Norwich, England to study theatre direction and produces plays at various festivals during the summers.

Her love of language, culture, and communication brought her back to Toronto and into the offices of French for the Future where she enjoys spreading the word about Canada’s Francophonie and learning about it too!
