The Montreal Forum will be held on April 21, 2010 at the Bibliothèque Nationale du Québec
The Montreal Forum is an exciting day with inspiring professionals and cultural guests aimed at creating a fun and enriching day for over 250 Anglophone youth in Montreal.
With our theme: Respect, Culture and Integration into Québécois society, the goal again this year is to create an atmosphere in which students have a really positive and empowering experience in French while connecting them with the Québécois culture that surrounds them.
It is especially important in the Québécois context to provide a space where Anglophone youth can celebrate their bilingualism and feel proud of their mastery of the French language.
The Montreal Forum is about making the French language and the Québécois culture more accessible and more alive. All in all, the day can be summed up as high energy, positive and fun. I think students really walk away with a feeling that French can be fun, that francophone culture is interesting and that they should be proud of themselves for being open and able to spend an entire day laughing and learning in French.
Highlights include: A francophone youth Hip Hop dance troupe, Vise Haut, La Ligue D’improvisation Montréalaise, Québécois musical group, a panel discussion with young athletes who have used their bilingualism to open doors and increase their opportunities and more!
