The National Ambassador Youth Forum 2010!

We managed to miss the huge snowstorm that engulfed Halifax this week  but that doesn’t mean we’re not sad not to be there!  We have only been back home for 3 days and we already miss the city that hosted this year’s National Ambassador Youth Forum.

From February 13th to 16th, 30 ambassadors of bilingualism from across the country met up to share their experiences on learning French and living in French.
We’ll tell you all about it in the next weeks, but for now, check out our pictures and video and a few highlights :

• A visit from Samuel de Champlain (or, rather, from his doppelgänger)
• Fun in French at the Discovery Centre
• Dynamic discussions with Francophone Nova Scotians
• A visit to Grand-Pré
• A morning chat with the Minister of Finance and Acadian Affairs, the Honourable Graham Steele
• Group work and discussions
• A closing night Gala Dinner where the ambassadors presented their amazing songs and scenes.  We also got to hear songs by Ronald Bourgeois, accompanied on the fiddle by Anastasia DesRoches, and by Brian St-Louis (Sudbury ambassador), accompanied by Jean-Michel Cliche (Fredericton ambassador).
