Max Cooke

Max Cooke grew up in Brantford, Ontario and is a fluently bilingual French Immersion graduate with a personal point of view of the tremendous benefits associated with becoming bilingual.  Using his degree in journalism from Ryerson University, Mr Cooke has gained extensive experience in strategic communications and project management in the not-for-profit sector.  Having lived and worked for nine years in Montreal, he possesses experience and ideas for motivating French Second Language (FSL) learners across the country to continue to excel using their French for the long term.

 From 2004-2007, he served as the first Executive Director of the Quebec Branch of CPF, where he helped this fledgling provincial organization get off the ground through the launching of various events and innovative FSL pilot projects.  During this time, Max also led the rejuvenation of French for the Future’s Local Forum in Montreal.

Mr. Cooke now lives in Toronto and works as Director of Communications for the Canadian Education Association.  With a passion for encouraging FSL students to embrace Francophone culture, Mr. Cooke believes strongly that every facet of his professional and personal life has been shaped by his bilingualism.  He will continue to devote considerable energy into promoting the growth of FSL learning opportunities to influence as many students as possible to reach this same conclusion.
