Deanna, in her own words:
I grew up in the city of Winnipeg in Manitoba.  I have been in French Immersion since Kindergarten.  At the moment, I am in grade 12 and am finishing high school at the Collège Jeanne-Sauvé.  Other than concentrating on my school work, I am involved in many extracurricular activities.  I am part of many committees such as the socio-cultural committee, the social justice committee and the Co-Conseil, a group of peer counsellors.  I am always ready to apply my leadership and ideas to a project or a school or volunteer activity.  I am a baseball player and that keeps me busy during the summer months.  Next year, I will study health science as I would like to have a career in global health.  French has already been an excellent tool in my life and I am sure it will open many doors in the future!
